Opawica

The Property

The Opawica property is located in the Townships of Lesperance and Gand, approximately 20 km northwest of the Town of Demaraisville, Quebec. A logging road connects the Senneterre-Chibougamau Hwy 113 to the property. Explor Resources owns 30 mineral claims covering approximately 480 hectares of land.

History and Geological Background

The geology of the property consists of volcanic intrusive sequence of bands of iron formation, broadly striking east to west. The iron formation locally contains Cu-Zn values in massive sulphides. Gold showings are located in the east-northeast or west-northwest structural zones, similar to the Lac Shortt and Lac Bachelor type. Historical results from Minnova in 1990 include 0.132 oz/ton Au over 5.9 feet, 0.295 oz/ton Au over 3.9 feet, 0.275 oz/ton Au over 4.1 feet and 0.106 oz/ton Au over 9 feet. <>
